Residential Bridge Course (RBC) program
» To eradicate child labor and provide better education to children who are not attending school, the Residential Bridge Course (RBC) program has been started in every mandal
» The RBC has strict rules stating that only individuals aged 9-14 are eligible to join the camp. Children identified in the 2007 education survey are eligible to participate in this program
» Students eligible for this program should not enroll in any other schools. If they are enrolled in any school outside the RBC program, they will not receive any funds from the RBC program
» A minimum of 6 months should be given in the RBC transition period before students are moved to the mainstream
» Every student’s admission must be recorded in the admission register using either the OSC number or the admission number in a serial order. Both the admission number and survey number are mandatory and must be recorded in the attendance book
» According to the government-issued timetable, the menu, daily activities, and TLM materials should be written in four columns on a large board and displayed to the RBC. These activities should then be carried out as per the instructions on the board
» Only trained instructors should continue in the RBC
